Kaïs Najeh looks back on his adventure in Rouge & Bleu

Kaïs Najeh

The official media of PSG have found Kais Najeh so that he confides in his current situation and his years in Red Blue. the parisian titiwho is currently playing in Qatar, comes from the 2003 generation. He notably evolved with the category U19 under the orders of Zoumana Camara.

Kais Najehdefender, signed last summer with the Qatari club Al-Rayyan SC until 2026. At almost 20 years old, the native of Poissy (Yvelines) confided in this choice: “ I signed a professional contract at Al-Rayyan SC until 2026, first division club in Qatar. I was very well received by everyone working at the club. The facilities are magnificent, everything is set up so that the player only thinks about the field. It is a championship that evolves in the right direction every year. I’m lucky to have a few French teammates, it’s the only Qatari club that has them. There is in particular Steven Nzonzi (world champion in 2018, passed through the PSG from 1999 to 2002) and Sekou Yansane (passed through the PSG from 2021 to 2022) who has just arrived on loan. Unfortunately, I injured my meniscus for which I had to undergo an operation. If all goes well, my return to the field is planned in two months.“. A choice he made with the aim of turning a corner and gaining autonomy, as he explains himself: “ My father stayed by my side during the first weeks, which facilitated my adaptation. My relatives come to visit me during the French school holidays. I assume this choice which is a kind of boost to gain autonomy. It’s up to me to take myself in hand to achieve my goals. I also take English lessons in order to integrate myself even more quickly, because the locals speak literary Arabic which is not the same as that practiced in France. It’s important to show that I’m determined to do everything I can to succeed at the club.“.

In Paris, I lived a unique and memorable adventure!

Player of Paris Saint Germain for 13 years, Kais Najeh also returned to the past season during which he evolved with the group U19 of Zoumana Camara : “ First of all, he commands respect with his very fine career as a player. It lays the foundation that commands respect! For his debut as head coach, he is doing some good things. We can say it, Papus is a good coach! Although I was not among his first choices, I took my troubles patiently and worked seriously to earn my place. Finally, I played a lot of matches. He gave me his trust and gave me my chance. It is useless to be resentful, on the contrary you should never let go. If I am here today, it is because he has greatly contributed to it. I wish him great success for the rest of his coaching career. As for wearing the jersey of the Paris Saint-Germain U19 Nationals, it’s something ! They are the team just below the first team, that’s why we were told to always be ready in case. Everything can go very quickly in football, we can also see it with some of my friends who have more and more playing time with the pros“.

A 2021/2022 season during which Kais Najeh had the opportunity to train with the professional group: ” Being of a rather shy nature, I can assure you that I was not proud during my first steps among all its stars! Fortunately, we were always several young people to go there. Presnel Kimpembe plays his role of big brother to perfection, he knows how to put all the Titis who arrive at ease. Overall, it has always gone well for me. Except when I found myself defending on Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi… It was going too fast! Quickly, I knew how to put my emotions aside, because it is important to be well concentrated to seize your chance. We must not be a spectator when we are called up to the pros, on the contrary we must show our qualities. That’s what allowed me to be held back to face Rouen in a friendly game. I came on in the second period in place of Sergio Ramos. When I think about it, it’s a “crazy”! A daydream !“.
